View volumes associated with the host initiator

Unisphere host management includes the management of initiators and initiator groups. An initiator group is a container of one or more host initiators.

Prerequisites

See Roles and associated permissions to determine the user roles that can perform this task.

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select Hosts > Initiators.
  3. Select the initiator from the list and click An icon showing the letter i.
  4. Click the number in the Volumes field.
  5. Use this view to view and manage volumes that are associated with the initiator.

    The following properties display:

    Name—Volume name.

    Type—Type of volume.

    Allocated %—percentage of space allocated

    Capacity (GB)—Volume capacity in GBs.

    Status—Volume status.

    Emulation—Volume emulation.

    SRDF Group—SRDF group the volume belongs to.

    Host Paths—Host paths for the volume.

    To see more volume properties, select the volume and click An icon showing the letter i.

    The following controls are available:

    Create— Create volumes

    Expand— Expand existing volumes

    An icon showing a bin symbol— Delete operations

    Create SG

    Set Volume Attributes— Set volume attributes

    Set Volume Identifiers— Set volume identifiers

    Set Volume Status— Set volume status

    Change Volume Configuration— Change volume configuration

    Replication QoS— QOS for replication

    Duplicate Volume— Duplicate volumes

    Expand Volume— Expand existing volumes

    Start Allocate/Free/Reclaim— Manage thin pool allocations

    Stop Allocate/Free/Reclaim— Manage thin pool allocations

    Map— Map volumes

    Unmap— Unmap volumes

    Set SRDF GCM— Set the SRDF GCM flag

    Reset SRDF/Metro Identity— Reset original device identity
